Speaking of GNOME menus…
USP as in Ubuntu System Panel is a “A simple, slick alternative to the SLED menu” I just found out today.
This thingie turned out to be even more useful than SLED/SLAB menu, you should check it out.

Yea, I installed it. It looks really quite nice and polished, just like SLED’s SLAB menu - perfect for folks coming from perhaps a Windows environment.
I guess that could be one of the reasons why the Novell folks decided to do this - for the average office worker. I guess they thought the simple GNOME menu(s) were getting a bit old and plain…
…I like them thought because it means that I can find an application really easily. It’s not as fancy and that doesn’t bother me, because afterall I start processes either using Alt + F2, from a command line or from the panel.
Still a lovely menu.
Btw. you should switch these emoticons to Tango ones.
Yea the menu is nice, but I end up not using it
Deskbar is my best friend.
