I’m not aware of “not updating” issue… I’m testing now to see if I can reproduce this.

The problem seems to be gtwitter gets ’stuck’ without updating although if I go to twitter.com there have been many updates.
Is this because gtwitter read a RSS that gets updated slower?

I’ve been using it withput a problem. Don’t know why did you replace the old icon. The new one is way too gaim-like.

@Carlos: I can’t reproduce this problem, it’s updating fine for me. You should try to run gtwitter with debug flag (gtwitter –debug) and see if there’s any error output or something.
@medeshago: I replaced the old icon, because it was all blurry and was not optimized for small size. This one looks sharp in notification area. Yeah it looks similar to gaim-tango icon, but this two programs have quite similar job, so I don’t think it’s so wrong.

I just realized that the updating issue is not gTwitter related, but Twitter.com.

Hm, I was wrong, there’s no bug in relative time implementation, but because the relative time is calculated from current time DateTime.Now, your computer clock should be set to “correct” time. With correct I mean in sync with twitter server time, which can be tricky.
I’m thinking of removing time from gtwitter, because I can’t see a good solution here. Hmmm, Twitteriffic removed it.

Actually, Twitterrific didn’t remove it. They just hid it and it shows only if you hover over the post.

I am trying like mad to get gtwitter to take on my system, i run Dapper. is this even possible? I have not found any how tos to get it to open , and some people at the ubuntu forum, yet nothing we did seemed to work.
If you have a step by step for beginner users for dapper, this would be great to see.thanks

Hi! I have used gtwitter (mono binary) in ubuntu edgy with no problems, but I can’t use it with feisty and I don’t understand why… I have also installed gtk-sharp2 but nothing has changed. It gives me this problem:
Unhandled Exception: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly ‘Mono.Posix, Version=1.0.5000.0,
How can I resolve it?
