gTwitter 1.0beta

I said to myself “what tha hell” and I released 1.0beta version. Basically it has most of the stuff that’s been floating around in SVN code. It’s here, go nuts.

Main improvement’s from 0.2.4 version:

Show user details on user image click
Clickable URLs (in normal/list view) using libsexy
New TweetView UI available
Posting from command line (Steve Neely)
Preferences: SignUp and Hidden at startup (Stojance Dimitrovski)
Smart URL detection (Yoan Blanc)
Some other bug fixes

I also created Google Group for gTwitter. Feel free to post anything gTwitter related.

It won’t work! I keep getting:

***MEMORY-WARNING***: ./gtwitter.exe[9538]: GSlice: g_thread_init() must be called before all other GLib functions; memory corruption due to late invocation of g_thread_init() has been detected; this program is likely to crash, leak or unexpectedly abort soon…
Cannot open assembly ./gtwitter.exe.

What i love most about gTwitter is that it’s simple and it does just what it’s needed.
And the new TweetView UI is just great !

Hey ghaefb,

did you stop development of gtwitter? I’m sad to see that. Still love the application but i’m wondering why there doesn’t seem to be any life in the devel process. Also your blogs seems to be kinda dead

Dear Nil, I would to join to the project gtwitter. I’m a experienced .NET programmer, I would participate on Spanish translation at the start. With time, I would participate with the code too. I have the svn code, and I’ve started with the translation. I’ll send you the tar.gz with the Monodevelop translation Project as soon as possible.
